As somebody who's worked as scoring since '98 on the WMRC(west michigan robotics competition), I can tell you this...the majority of the people who worked on planning that event worked this year on getting the regional up and running in Grand Rapids, so as of when I last talked to them(March,) they didn't really have it in them to organize another event so soon(I know, it doesn't seem close to the regional, but you'd be surprised how early these things start getting planned)...So, as far as I know, there will not be a WMRC this year...if there's enough support locally in the future to do it AND the regional, it may come back, but I make no guarantees...
