Thanks for the links, but please don't assume that people haven't searched before posting, or that searching before posting this type of question is a necessity. In the broad category of "wireless communication problems" there are tons of situations, and wading through literally hundreds of posts is often pointless, when someone (in this case, perhaps an FTAA or FTA) knows the answer.

Further, we have spent quite a while attempting to adjust the settings on both the WGA and the WRT, thus far with no success. One of the questions the OP asked was, "And at what point do we stop troubleshooting and start buying a new radio?" If the radio's capability of sending out wireless signals is gone, no amount of messing with settings will do anything.
