I agree... The point of goverment is to ensure us the freedom granted by the constitution. And it this this freedom that allows such an organization to exist. Look at it this way... They spend 20 years manipulating public opinion to get where they are -- anyone honest or with the ability to perform independent thought is automatically weeded out by the system. Do we really want these people "helping" us (not that they have the ability to do anything)?

: I'm not exactly sure what else you want Jeb to do. How many other state governors take time out to visit Nationals? The best thing Jeb can do for FIRST is foster an economic environment within the state where technology companies thrive and have the money and people to sponsor teams. Quite frankly, I would be concerned if Jeb spent MORE than 1 day a year supporting FIRST.

: It is of deep concern to me that our culture has taught at least 4 generations of people to look to the government to satisfy all their wants and fulfill their needs.

: As far as "knowing the right people", based on the things that went on in the Justice Dept under her watch, I don't think I want any help from the "right people" she knows.
