Junkyard Wars

Student on team #422, Mech Tech, from Governor's School (GSGIS) and Verizon.

Hey guys, I was curious on your thoughts of a VA-based Junkyard Wars. We round up old InnovationFIRST controllers, electrical surplus, mechanical stuff, and a lot of tools, and essentially have challenges like on the popular TLC show. Definitely not the same, and maybe more than a day allowed for construction, but does everyone agree that this would be a cool idea?

(Imagine fun stuff like "Build a robot that can get to one side of a football field to the next with 1 ton of debris in it's way&quot

PS: Virginia teams that are interesed, get back to me. We're racking up possibilities for next next summer at Maggie Walker High School (new) in Richmond for overall team events.
