Ken,
As much as I love having you in FIRST and having you on these forums, I encourage you to keep your grades up.
Right now, going to school should take top priority. This is the time in your life that society has given you to dive deep into learning. Take advantage of it -- it only gets more difficult if you try to do it at a later time.
As to your grades, I often say that they are like money in the bank. For the rest of your life, people will be (unfairly) judging you by your undergrad GPA. You can rail against the unfairness of it or you can accept that life is unfair and that you may as well get the most out of the unfair system.
You will never have such low hanging fruit that is so easy to pick. Going from a B to an A or a B from a C is about the easiest way to give yourself a raise you will ever have in your life. Frankly, school is not that hard compared to living life on the outside.
But I digress...
...Ken, you're a great person. I expect great things from you whereever you end up. Go where you feel you are led. I respect your judgement.
Regards,
Joe J.
