Ok i have updated the design using suggestions posted (thanks so much for the help), and here is my updated model.
Design Changes: - using 3/16 plate instead of 1/8 plate
- Using the the 500 bearing hub as a bearing for the drive shaft and a bushing for turning.
- put in a 1-3/8 bore bearing from mcmaster (60355K23) for the turning.
- reduced size of cutouts for more strength
- made bottom shaft fixed instead of rotating
- using internal sprockets and a wheel with bearings to drive instead of external sprockets
Notes: - the sprocket on top of the bearing hub is supposed to be the S35-22LE sprocket from andymark not the S35-22.
- left out the bearings for the wheels but intend to put them in when i feel like it
