Ok i have updated the design using suggestions posted (thanks so much for the help), and here is my updated model.

Design Changes:

• using 3/16 plate instead of 1/8 plate

• Using the the 500 bearing hub as a bearing for the drive shaft and a bushing for turning.

• put in a 1-3/8 bore bearing from mcmaster (60355K23) for the turning.

• reduced size of cutouts for more strength

• made bottom shaft fixed instead of rotating

• using internal sprockets and a wheel with bearings to drive instead of external sprockets

Notes:

• the 500 bearing hub from andymark.biz for the bushing http://andymark.biz/am-0160.html is modeled as a solid piece.

• the sprocket on top of the bearing hub is supposed to be the S35-22LE sprocket from andymark not the S35-22.

• left out the bearings for the wheels but intend to put them in when i feel like it
