Alternatively, you can try using
<?php Header("Location:http://www.google.ca"); ?>
This has to be a part of a php file. It probably wouldn't work for .html but I haven't tried it.
For HTML, you can use
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL=http://www.google.ca">
