POE Presentation

As you probably have seen, my friend Jacob posted interview questions... I'm doing the same because i know the CD community is full of awesome engineers of all kinds.

For my PLTW Principals of Engineering (POE) Presentation, I did mine about becoming an Industrial Engineer. I have a very short 10 question interview that is part of the presentation. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Interview for Industrial Engineers in the Field

1. What influenced you to enter the field of Industrial Engineering?

2. What courses in college do you think did or did not help you become an Industrial Engineer?

3. What qualities do you have that you found best used during your Industrial Engineering job?

4. Where do you work and what do you mostly work on there?

5. What problems as an Industrial Engineer do you mainly encounter while at work?

6. How do you go about solving the problems you face? What are the correct steps of going about it before presenting a solution?

7. Out of all of the problems you have solved, which has been the most meaningful to the community, and why?

8. What are the most challenging things you face in Industrial Engineering? Why is it challenging?

9. What kinds of opportunities are available to someone right out of high school? Out of college? With a higher degree?

10. If a student in high school was interesting in Industrial Engineering, what would be some advice you would give them through school and then after college?

Anyone who would like to answers these and is also an Industrial Engineer would be greatly appreciated! I know that the CD community has some pretty awesome IEs. This project is due at the end of this week... but there is no rush for well thought out answers. I know that they will help with my future during and after college.
