Thanks for the kind words Cynette. It is true that this past year we petitioned General Mills to have a FIRST team on a Wheaties box. Yet we did not receive a positive response. Same thing with the postage stamp. I don't think it's because they are generally uninterested with what teams are doing, I think it's just the sheer volume of requests that they get. We keep trying different things hoping one of them will eventually stick.

One idea that we've tossed around and Upstate NY people might understand better is developing a "Flutie Flakes" type promotion. (For those who don't know, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flutie_Flakes) Something like that is one of the things we're trying this year and might be more realistic then a Wheaties Box.
