FREE 12'x25' (approx) FIRST FRC Contest Carpeting, for any team near Ypsi MI

Ever want a big piece of FIRST contest carpeting for your dorm room, for FREE???
Are you near Ypsilanti MI? If so, here's your chance!

Team 470 is now renovating their workspace, and cleaning house. They have an extra 12' x 25' section of official low pile black/grey FIRST carpeting that MUST go, to make space.

(Some 470 mentors work at EMU, and so for years the team has picked the best of the undamaged sections of FIRST contest carpeting left over after the Great Lakes Regional. Believe me, over the years, the team has amassed quite a carpet collection!)

Its History: This particular section has been rolled up for a long time. It was NEVER used in the shop. AFAICD, it has only been opened and used a couple of times at the annual Ypsilanti Heritage Festival tent in the team's FIRST demo booth, so it really has very little usage time on it. It looks practically new to me. I saw NO noticeable snags nor tears in it. It would be kept, but the team is simply out of storage space!

IMHO you give it one good sweeping and it'd make an excellent area rug for a dorm room (how is THAT for bragging rights?), or as a team test carpet for future robot contests that use carpeting.

If you want it, it is FREE. Please email me ASAP at this CDF email link:

... and I'll give you directions on where to go in Ypsilanti MI to get it.

NOTE: It is on the way out NOW. I'd rather see it go another FIRST teams for free than be offered to others or dumped.

You will need some way to transport it, and enough able bodies to wrangle a rolled up carpet into your trailer or truck.

Thanks!

- Keith
