Every year, I am amazed at the creativity and deviousness of the GDC, how masterfully well they do their job. I hope everyone realizes just how difficult an engineering problem it is, designing an FRC game. You have time, budget, size & weight constraints, it needs to be scored easily, be exciting for a crowd, tens of thousands of game pieces need to be available (worldwide!), and lots more. If you get a chance to meet anyone on the GDC, even though they have the best job in the world, be sure to thank them.

So for all who thought 6 weeks is not enough time to build and test robot, lets give it up to the GDC who have the similar rules and budget constraints to design, build and successfully launch an exciting game with a durable field year after year.

And even larger round of applause to the same GDC who do their very best year after year in keeping FIRST's secret. I know for a fact it's got to be trying and ultimately difficult to read all these threads and type in "YOUR ALL WRONG" and close the window out.
