Re: Team 221 new stuff?

Guess so! We're working on the first batch of parts now.

We'll be testing both the plaction wheel and performance wheel for fit.

We incorporated some improvements from this thread Original co-axial product discussion. The miter gear side load is now handled by a large bronze bushing on both gears. This sends the reaction force directly into the gearbox housing, not the bearing. We also added more bolts along the top to ensure a tight clamp. These plates are shorter and beefier than frc118's competition parts.....see here. We hope this resolves any strength issues associated with side loading.

These will be offered as assembled units only. Controlling the miter gear mesh has proven difficult, so we'll be handling the tolerancing by hand assembling each as a matched set.

NOTE: To honor frc118 and the work they did developing these over the last eight seasons, modules will be sold only in gold anodize finish.
