Billy, let me start off by saying that I have had Flash experience since 12 years of age and that you're way past calling yourself just "competent." Even though I have Flash experience, it would have taken we a long time to develop what you have developed there.
As soon as I saw the site, I immediately thought about HTML5 and CSS3. With all that new web standards will offer for us, I think that whole site can be done with just HTML5 and CSS3 for markup/style. However, that's a whole another time to worry about.
As much as I hate incompetent flash websites, sometimes, sites like yours are a
real treat to come across sometimes. Keep up the AWESOME work. Just keep in mind that everything has its context and everything has its reasons. Some sites are meant to be implemented through standards and others not so much. Perhaps robotics site in flash wasn't the best idea, but as it stands, I don't think it's a problem that you did it in flash.
