A local VEX team, the "Pink Sparkle Fairy Unicorns" did great last season, placing fourth, if I recall in the programming challenge in Dallas. This year I almost... almost.... made a "My Little Pony" sticker the offical tech inspection sticker at the Gladstone tournament in their honour.

Rather than tic-tac-toe, consider the game "Connect 5".
