It's interesting that he started posting with a series of periods. Eight periods together are the morse representation for "Error" when sending. Likewise, two of the posts in that group of 16 consecutive E's did NOT have any morse at all.

The blank posts are the 2nd (meaning the second letter in SII - the I - is an error. The 13th letter is the "a", which is also an error.
We're still not sure about what S_I is, but: Nothing is what it appears to be. What I..... seems like it could be pretty reasonble. I'm working from memory because I didn't bring the files home, so forgive me if I got a word or two wrong.

http://www.unscramble.net/modules.php?name=Crossword I get sai, sci, sei, shi, ski, sri, and sui. None of those seem to make sense given the particular context. It's also possible that his shenanigans didn't start until the 'Nothing is...' business.
