Pushing Multiple Balls?

I haven't seen anything in the rules as accidentally gathering a second or third ball when pushing the first ball. I know that a robot is only allowed to possess one ball, but will a robot really be penalized for accidentally gathering a second or third ball while maneuvering the first one?

(This scenario is with a plowing robot)
