Re: Call up Pro/E files in SolidWorks

These imported parts may or may not come in with materials.

You can set materials by right-click on the Materials tab in the FeatureManager.

You can also set the exact weight in Tools, MassProperties.

Watch out for little descrepencies with imported geometery, when I imported the AM0204, and set material to Al 5052 I got 1.2 pounds but Andy Mark states it is 1.4. Use a scale for the exact weight.

On thing nice about imported geometry, it makes your assembly model very light weight. Saves time.

Dont spend your time recreating purchased kit parts - you have an arm to design!
