BTW, I'm looking for a place with php, perl, at least 1 mysql db, a few subdomains, and a few email addresses. Space / data transfer isn't really important as most companies tend to offer at least 50 megs and 2 GB transfer.

A site I'm working on is hosted by OLM (
http://www.olm.net), looking at your list, the only thing they don't offer is the subdomains without an additional charge...how it compares to the others you've looked at, I dunno...
