Thumbs up Pro/ENGINEER KOP Tips

Hi, its one of those days where I am trying to answer as many questions as possible. I am opening a new thread to discuss any tips you may have w/respect to PTC's KOP.

The first one to know is how to show the model description in the Model Tree while working on the AndyMark chassis assembly.

We modeled the KOP using the AndyMark part numbers to make it easier for everyone to accurately identify the components in the assembly. Obviously, some people work well with numbers and the rest of us really work well with a more descriptive term.

All you need to do to see the descriptions is turn on that Column in the Model Tree. Pick the Settings button at the top of the Model Tree and then pick Tree Columns... from the drop down menu. In the Model Tree Columns dialog box, change the Type to Model Params, pick DESCRIPTION, pick >>, pick OK.

Now just drag the width of the model tree if you cannot see the whole column and you will have all the descriptions listed right next to the names!
