I think you're asking how to turn on line numbers in the edit windows.
Bring up Preferences by clicking Window->Preferences.
Then, follow General->Editors->Text Editors.
There you can turn on line numbers.

Also, if you use the VI mode text editor, you just type (in command mode) a line number and then press Cap-G key to jump to the line number.
And note that VI mode has nothing to with LabView.
