I beg to differ. I'd reckon that the rubber on bike tires has a CoF equal to or lower than the AM plactions rubber. I know the CoF for tire rubber on asphalt is ~0.8, while the plactions on carpet (roughtop) is 1.3!
Secondly, using such large wheels creates a hefty mechanical disadvantage giving your robot less torque, thusly you're more likely to lose a head on head shoving match. Also it makes shoving robots from their side even more difficult, and causes your motors to pull much more power because of your huge mechanical disadvantage by using such large wheels.
