NASA Ames Pre-Ship Practice Weekend & Scrimmage

You’re Invited!

What: NASA Ames Pre-Ship Practice Weekend & Scrimmage

Where: NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA- Building TBD

When:

Friday, February 19th: Open Practice - 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday, February 20th: Open Practice - 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Sunday, February 21st: Scrimmage - 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Directions: Signs will be posted on site, and a map will be posted in this thread

General Information: Team 254, 1868, and the NASA Robotics Alliance Project will be hosting a pre-ship practice weekend. We will have slightly smaller than regulation size field, with official competition game pieces. We are hoping to see as many teams as possible!

NASA Entry Policies:

Due to NASA regulations, all visitors must meet the following criteria.

Driving to NASA:

• No more than 6 people per team (limited space)
• Two adults must be present with each team, at all times
• Team adults must drive students to the Practice Field

Requesting a Visitor’s Pass:

• Anyone over the age of 18 years must request a visitors pass
• Anyone over the age of 18 years must be a US CITIZEN
• Visitors Passes will not be granted to anyone who is not a US CITIZEN

• Visitor’s Passes must be requested by Wednesday, February 17th at 12:00 pm
• YOU WILL NEED A VISITORS PASS TO GET TO THE PRACTICE FIELD. If you have not requested one,
the guards at the gate will turn you away

Safety Procedures:

• Safety Glasses must be worn at all times
• Closed toed shoes are required

Suggested Items to bring:

• Tools
• Batteries/Chargers
• Materials for robot repairs
• 25' extension cord
• Power strip
• Computer used to program robot
• Ethernet cable (for tethered control)
• Operator controls (Driver Station/Driver Station power supply unit,
Enable/disable switch)
