You only needed to do that once after running the LabVIEW update. Do you remember which version of the cRIO image you loaded? As of February 20, the current version is v20.

What do you mean by "press deploy"? If you're clicking the "run" arrow at the top of the Robot Main vi, that just puts the code in the cRIO's RAM and runs it. If you're choosing "Deploy" from the "FRC Robot Boot-up Deployment" popup menu, that does write it to the cRIO filesystem.

When you turn off the robot, it naturally stops running the program you were running. Unless you have done a "Run as startup", the cRIO isn't going to run any user code when it turns on.

You should have the Driver Station running throughout the entire process. Its Diagnostic tab will give information about what might not be connected properly. What does it tell you?
