You only needed to do that once after running the LabVIEW update. Do you remember which version of the cRIO image you loaded? As of February 20, the current version is v20.

then when it says successful I go to labview and build a new project after that I press build ...after it finishes building I go to main ...then press deploy when it is done...
What do you mean by "press deploy"? If you're clicking the "run" arrow at the top of the Robot Main vi, that just puts the code in the cRIO's RAM and runs it. If you're choosing "Deploy" from the "FRC Robot Boot-up Deployment" popup menu, that does write it to the cRIO filesystem.

I turn off the robot start it back up
When you turn off the robot, it naturally stops running the program you were running. Unless you have done a "Run as startup", the cRIO isn't going to run any user code when it turns on.

and go to the driver station and try to connect but it does not work....I am using the corrent IP addresses ... can you help anyhelp is appriciated...
You should have the Driver Station running throughout the entire process. Its Diagnostic tab will give information about what might not be connected properly. What does it tell you?
