Re: HELP

OK, the solenoid valves have two connections at each end - either wires or pins, right? Those two wires or pins need to somehow make it to the Solenoid (or Pneumatic) Breakout. The Pneumatic breakout is a little circuit board in a blue plastic cover, which is connected to the cRio solenoid module (the one with the 8 green LEDs in 2 rows of four on top). That cRio module must be plugged into slot 8 of the cRio (furthest from the power end of the cRio).

To connect those two wires or pins, the kit had a couple of grey cables, each which had two tiny red and white wires inside, and with little black connectors at each end. If the solenoid valve has "pins" then this will plug right in. The other end plugs right into that Pneumatic breakout, it's pretty plain once you see it.

Of course, some programming is needed, and the Pneumatic breakout needs power from the power distribution board (at least 20 ga wire, 20A breaker)

First, look in the Control System Manual that's on the FIRST site to learn more about the Pneumatic Breakout. The check the pneumatics manual, and section 8 of the rules.

So basically: 2 wires from solenoid valve to 2 pin connector on Pneumatic breakout. If your valve has 2 solenoids (one on each end), they both need their own wires and connections (and take up 2, two pin spaces on the Pneumatic breakout.

OK?
