**FIRST EMAIL**/Important Reminders Prior to Regional Events/Team Roster/Consent & Re

Greetings Teams:

The time has come - this Thursday, March 4th kicks off Week One of the FRC 2010 competition events! Best of luck to all of our FRC Teams; we can’t wait to see you, and we especially cannot wait to see all of your hard work come to life!

Please note that in an effort to get important information out to teams in a timely fashion during the competition season, we will send out our weekly email blasts on Tuesdays instead of each Thursday. Don’t forget to check your email and the News & Email Blasts Page (http://usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/...starchive.aspx) early and often for the latest FRC News!

With Week One upon us, we must remind everyone to print out your Team Roster! When you go to register at your Initial Event, you will be asked to produce your Team Roster along with any hard-copy Consent & Release forms attached to the Roster itself. Without these items, you will not be allowed to register for your event!
  • New! We have added a “Print” button on the Team Roster page in TIMS that should solve any prior printing issues. Go to: Student Team Members Area, Team Roster, press “Printable Roster” then “Print” - you should be all set!
  • For those teams who have students who are utilizing the Electronic Consent and Release form, please be sure that you understand the Process involved by reading through this document: http://usfirst.org/uploadedFiles/Com...s_Overview.pdf
Remember: Even if none of your student team members filled out an Electronic Consent and Release form, you must still print out your Team Roster and physically pencil in the names of the students who have hard-copies of the form. If you cannot pencil in all the student names in to the space allotted on the printed Team Roster, you may attach an additional sheet with the rest of the student names. Also, don’t forget that each Mentor on the team must have a hard-copy of the Consent and Release Form in order to gain entrance in to the event!

As you’re packing up to go to your initial event, keep in mind that there will be no replacement Shipping Documents available. If you forget your Shipping Documents (i.e.,Bill of Lading for shipment to your next event), you will need to find a way to retrieve them before the event is over in order to avoid paying out of pocket for the shipment. If you have lost your shipping documents, please make arrangements at the shipping desk in the Pit area to pay for your shipment home.

If your team qualifies at a Regional Event to attend the Championship (CMP), please remember you still must register via TIMS in order to attend! For full details about what to do if you qualify for CMP at a Regional Event, please refer to the information found in last week’s email blast: http://usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/....aspx?id=16725

Go Teams!
