Dynamic Page List (DPL) is what we use with our site
Team1640.com to pull data together. For lightweight data lifting it's good. If you are going to try to do a TBA type data site, the Semantic Mediawiki would be a better choice. You could do most of it with DPL.
TBA has some mega-cool data features that would be hard to replicate using either Semantic or DPL. But then you are forcing a horse to swim, it works but not the best results.
