We have our control board on a piece of lexan that is connected to our base with hinges so we can pull it out for easy access and fold it in during the matches. Here is the kind of connector we used for the wires:
One wire is the female, the other wire is the male and it makes it really easy to disconnect and reconnect wires.
There aren't really any good pictures of our control board, but
this is probably the best. The lexan is the part with the light sticking out of it and on the other side is all the electronics. All of the wires coming off of the board are grouped into small clumps on each side of our battery so they can be easily disconnected.
