Jane,

I sure hope that does indeed happen here. Let me be very clear in stating that our team is exceedingly proud of ALL of our students' efforts and accomplishments. We had the pleasure of nominating two students for Dean's List honors and the luxury of choosing from many worthy candidates on our team. It was a difficult decision, but one we felt very good about in the end.

I believe some teams may choose not to share their winning nominations here, for fear it may look like they are favoring a single student and believe me the thought crossed my mind before posting this too. However, I concluded that there must be a way to value all team member efforts while celebrating role model examples in this fashion at the same time. I could write volumes about many 1712 students past and present who have also had great impact on our team, community, and throughout FIRST.

Delia happens to be one of those great examples and I hope other teams share their examples as well while continuing to find ways to honor and value the work of all others on their team. In short, if it's a worthy thing to share the WFFA and WFA essays here, then it should be an equally worthy and important thing to share these "winning" nominations as well.

What we do takes a lot of effort and we should never run short on the inspirational fuel we need to get it all done. I look forward to reading many more of these.
