First of all, I would like to apologize for the post that my teammate was responsible for. While many at 2641 do feel wronged, a public attack on a FIRST volunteer solves nothing. We may or may not take up the issue with people at FIRST, but that is something to be decided after the competition season.

I agree with you that there was no need for such a post. However, I ask you to reconsider your judgement of my classmate and our team as a whole, understanding that it was written shortly after the events today, when both emotions and tension were running much higher than usual.

Was the post rash and inappropriate? Yes.
Was the post a fair assessment of our captain's or our team's mentality about FIRST? Certainly not.

I understand the prestige some hold to these forums, and so I can see how you may think this was a statement the entire team discussed and agreed on. Let me assure you, it was not. Had the entire team had some time to cool off and agree on a message (if any) to be posted here, I would have ensured no names were mentioned, and some of the grizzlier details (many of which are accurate) would have been omitted.
