I disagree completely with that statement, there are many people in the world who do not respect others or their differences... including both adults and young people.
That is not a reason to lose hope... that is part of what FIRST may be able to (and is trying to) teach the next generation. That we must work together even in the midst of competition (read as "coopertition").
This is not a reason to stop trying...
If we give up then we will definitely not succeed.
