Hey rush guys, speaking of your arm, how do you power it? I assume either 1 FP or 1 CIM, but I don't know how you are gearing it. As a comparison to yours, we have a CIM geared 12:1 through a DeWalt transmission with backdrive pins, going into part of a 12.5:1 toughbox with 16tooth-72tooth chain. I also noticed two other things about your arm: it lacks a foot and its much longer than ours. I assume the lack of a foot makes little functional difference, but is the long arm to prevent backdriving when power is cut (so the cg is past the shoulder joint, causing the robot to fall into the pole)?
450 ft-lbs you say? Stall or running? We've got over 600 ft-lbs theoretically at stall, assuming no losses. We have only ever hit stall when the analog module ejected from the cRio causing the arm to kill itself (almost).
