Thank you teams 3138 and 3201!
What an awesome opportunity we had at Buckeye, having the chance to choose two rookie teams that we worked with all year to join us on the #2 alliance! My heartfelt congratulations go out to both of you, you proved we made the right choice by making it to the finals with us!
3138 - You guys continue to blow my mind in how you grasp the concepts of FIRST and apply them constantly! From helping 1038 and the field reset crew change out the carpets on Thursday night to helping other teams throughout the competition, you act like veterans in rookie shirts! So far, you have received 7 awards at 2 regionals... One Gracious Professionalism Award, Two Highest Seeded Rookie Awards, Two Finalists Awards, and - the crown jewels - a pair of Rookie All Stars!!! Oh yeah, and you also made one of the highest performing robots out there... What accomplishments! Enjoy Atlanta, I am so psyched to see what we can do together over the coming years...
3291 - Don't think we picked you just because we helped start your team; we picked you because you were able to take our advice Friday night and concentrate on defense - which you did extremely well! I was amazed you weren't drafted before we had our chance... Just think, you guys also had the most robust robot on our alliance - the only one which did not succumb to mechanical problems or electrical gremlins! Very cool way to end your first regional!
Looking forward to the off season with you guys, I see the CORI event and IRI as logical next steps on your journeys - we are happy to help you navigate the end of your impressive rookie seasons!
