I am very proud to be a part of my team (As is everyone else with their respective teams, I assume) and I feel that a professional sounding team name really adds to that.
Maybe going to the extremes is the way to do it. Either as a professional team name, a wacky name, a fun name, a clever name, or a team acronym. As long as your team is presenting a unified and single name, I think you will be fine recognized.
