Volunteering at the Championships and queuing on Newton was my greatest memory this season. I worked with THE best people on my field. Karen was the sweetest woman to work with and handed out candies to the teams that were queued up, I worked with Kevyn who I've worked with at two regionals prior to Atlanta and the three of us just made a great team. Zara, Fran!, and everyone else on the field were just about the best ever. In the beginning we looked like the underdogs but finished first on Thursday and Friday
But in addition to working with great people, it was the best memory to be able to actually accept being a FIRST alumni and appreciate how FIRST affects young adults and how it continues year after year (even if it took me a few years to do so

) . The drive teams graduate, the faces change, and the robots look different, but at the end of the day the inspiration is all the same.
I spent time between matches talking to the drive teams and it made me smile to be able to make some of them smile. One girl even asked me to sign her shirt, and had it be the only signature aside from Dean Kamen's, and whether or not it was the case by the end of the day I was flattered that even just queuing teams I was able to get to know such a great variety of people.
It rekindled my love for FIRST quite a bit, but in a way that I can't wait to be able to give some inspiration in the amounts that I have received it.
