For something like CAD programs, you're probably looking at a Dell Latitude D820 or D830: the screen's bigger than on the D6-series. Check Ebay for a decent one. Don't be afraid to get one with low memory and hard drive space: you can probably get a better deal going lower and upgrading on these.
