The process is the same. It looks like however, the availability of some parts may be a concern in the near future as Dewalt like many other manufacturers change and improve their designs.

Be careful not to spend time and effort on a design (part) that is being phased out.

BTW Dewalt has other transmissions - like the shown one that will do the same job.... small changes in processes are required.
