I have a kensington Studio Mouse with three buttons and an optical scroll wheel. So yes Macs can have more than one button mouse. It ships with only a one button mouse. There are several venders like Kensington, MacAlly, Microsoft, etc. that sell these multi-button mouse for about $20-$40. Mac OS X comes with native support for a multi-button mouse. Most pros on Macs don't even use the standard mouse.

Most colleges I have seen support both the Mac and Windows systems on their networks. With the newest release 10.2 Jagwire, you have a bunch of cool network features like rendezvous, VPN, networking w/ Windows and whole lot more. http://www.apple.com/macosx/technolo...etworking.html
