Re: Connect a Million Minds 2010 Robotics Invitational, June 26, 2010 Columbus, Ohio
I wanted to thank the volunteers and staff of the Columbus Connect a Million Minds Invitational for putting on a very good rookie offseason event. It was great fun getting together with friends from across the region - great to see 291, 1038, and 3138 along with NEOFRA friends 379 and 3193, who all traveled to the event together (shared transportation - saves $$$).
With a similar effort (and an event date that does not conflict with MARC), look for this event to get even bigger and more diverse next year.
Positives:
It's a much-needed offseason event in Ohio.
Dirt Cheap entry fee - $50
Great Venue - pits in auxiliary gym immediately next to main gym, air conditioned for the win
Cheap Concessions
Regular-season worthy judge crew
Paul George as FTA
Every participating team will receive a free DVD of the competition. Other more notable, more expensive offseasons could certainly take a cue from this one. Heck - FIRST, are you listening?
Keep up the great work!
