I agree fully with Tristan...I am an alumnus of Woburn Robotics and I have competed in both Canada FIRST and FIRST. Quite simply, FIRST is the better competition and is in no way affiliated with Canada FIRST. Initially, FIRST did allow the Canada FIRST organizers to use the same name, but Canada FIRST then diverged from FIRST and began to criticize it (accusing FIRST teams of having engineers do all the work - rebuttals, anyone?
). FIRST is much better organized, has a much better kit of parts, about thirty times as many teams, and much more support and gracious professionalism. Increasingly, Canada FIRST teams are making the jump to the
FIRST Canadian Regional, and not one has ever gone back.
