First of all, Java and Javascript are 2 very different things. I first suggest that you check out a book like: http://oreilly.com/catalog/9780596000486 oreily books are always great. I also suggest checking out online tutorials such as this: http://www.w3schools.com/js/default.asp

Also one last word: programming just "clicks" for some, it just takes time for others. Its like any other profession: You need practice. No matter how good you are, always practice
