Strategy isn't just built into a game - it is built into the business aspects of successful companies, corporations, non-profits. In FIRST's case, they want to market the mission and goals well and celebrate milestones. What better way than to ask for people who have been involved in FIRST over the years - some since the beginning - to vote on their favorite games. That information is useful in many ways but the hook is the game.

For one thing, the members of the Game Design Committee love to make us think. They love to make the engineers think. Thinking is a big big part of being on an FRC team. The sooner we realize that, the more fun there is to be had. The business side of FIRST is capable of doing the same thing, using strategy and organizational planning in gathering information while engaging the teams and others in the process.
