under $15 for an HDMI cable at Best Buy is a bargain....but you might also look at the dollar stores

The funny thing is that with digital video, the connector quality doesn't really matter so much. If it works, it works. Signal degradation is a thing of the past.

Since hardly anyone understands this stuff, it's easy to sell overpriced cables.
