This very well could be. I really think we will be allowed to extend out of the frame perimeter, but I would not call it undoing what was done. The GDC created those rules to make the games more challenging (and various other reasons), not to change the course of all future games.

I really hope that we will be able to extend out of the frame perimeter. I am tired of robots looking more or less the same. I loved it when I walked through the pits and did not see one robot that resembled another. That is what FIRST is about. Coming up with your own unique designs!
