You can select what type of updates (status, videos, events, etc) get sent to Twitter.
Pages are also better than Groups because any status/photos/etc you post are displayed on a Fan's News Feed, just like a normal profile. Pages can also add applications and boxes like a normal profile.
And last, but certainly not least, Pages have the ability to use "usernames", so you can use
Facebook.com/BedfordRobotics instead of
Facebook.com/pages/Bedford-Robotics/337645538661.
