If you have a working internet connection, it should have successfully activated once connected. Also, I'm assuming you have a 2010 classmate, are you experiencing any low disk space errors? I reimaged my classmate and now i have 0 bytes left.

Turns out Windows was excessively increasing the size of the page file. Now have about 600mb free on the 16gb ssd, which is manageable, however not enough to install Labview, which is a good enough reason to switch to a better laptop for programming.

I'm still trying to figure out how much of this is User-error, if it is at all.
