Re: FIRST Music

The original version my team wrote had lots of inside references, but here's an edited "genericized" version I just did

Quote:
First weekend of January, so it’s a new year
Kickoff morning comes, its finally here
The manual’s been released, its always unclear
So read it, just read it

Weight limits loom, often 120 pounds
Don’t wanna cheat the rules, go make your grandmas proud
Inspectors will find every mistake to be found
So read it, just read it

Just read it, read it,
Decrypt with the code and read it
Too many pages, and 10 more each year
But read all the rules, before mounting gears
Just read it, read it
Just read it, read it
Just read it, read it
Just read it, read it

Are Vics allowed, what are the limits of CAN?
What motors can we use, what must the bumpers span?
There's playing size limits, and compliance to plan
So beat it, just beat it

At regionals, you need to play safe and fair
Questions need to go to FIRST for answers
What they said on CD won't help you when you get there
So read it, (but you wanna build fast)

Just read it, read it,
Set aside a day and read it
Too many pages, and 10 more each year
But read all the rules, before mounting gears

Just read it, read it,
Sit down with your team and read it
Too many pages, and 10 more each year
But read all the rules, before mounting gears

~~and so on
With apologies to Michael Jackson
