Re: Removing and encoder from a shaft

If you grab just the aluminum and avoid touching the plastic disc it is doable. Just be very careful and take your time. We've done it successfully more and more lately, but we've also made some encoders not function anymore. It seems easier mow that the encoder disc is plastic.
