Go to Post GP is a much longer-term investment, yet offers surprisingly high returns. Just like 401(k) plans, the important thing is to keep making contributions even when it seems there's no reward for it. - ayeckley [more]

To all the drive teams out there:

How did you feel throughout all the matches at the competition?

The very first match for me was kinda nerve recking. I almost puked(spell check) before the match. I wanted to do soooo good. At all the competitions, the first one was the hardest for me. But then it seems like the last match should of been the hardest because out of 3 regionals, we seemed to always lose the last one. Note: we won the last one at nationals.

Basically I would say it was an adrenaline rush, as my co worker operated the drive, i found myself feeling the rush as we plowed the ramp. Our first few matches at regionals were my most nerve racking, they were the first matches that our robot had actually been hooked up and had to be tested out, nationals was a bit more relieving, we had more confidence in our robot, except for a few matches when the outcome seemed doubtful. But as we found our bot doing more then we could ask for, the nerves quickly dissipated.

This was my first (and last *sniff, sniff*) year driving (I controlled the arm) for Bobcat Robotics (177). At nationals, the first match was a little nerve-wracking, but Eric (who controlled the base) and I got back into the swing of things pretty quickly. After that I always felt more anxious about wanting to get out there and drive then nervous about how we'd do. We always wanted to win, but it never seemed like the pressure to do well was overwhelming. Overall, I thought it was an awesome experience, I'll miss it next year!!! =)

Well, this being my second year driving, I found this year to be both more exciting then last year. Last year, you pretty much knew if you won the match before hand, while this year, you tried to make it as close as possible while still winning. I can remember a couple matches like this, one of them coming down the the second to last tie breaker, the robot closest the the center of the ramp.
