Although, ChewyMasterFlex's library card one is pretty good. That's not terribly insulting - the mirror in the pants one however, just makes you look like a jackass.
work? people actually use them... pick up lines seem soo sterotypical... i onyl see them used in movies... i never hear it used around me... but then thats just me

Pickup what?

Pickup lines.... well, my general feeling is that they are mostly rediculous and completely unnecessary...

Still I think the best pickup line i've ever seen work: ( this is actually true, i was there, my roommate at the time used it (names omitted to protect the guilty) )

Was: "Do you want to see my robot?"
now, the context was that we had just completed a FIRST demo and some girl was talking to him a bit... and well, since the robot was in the back of his van... and the rest is history...

Yeah, the pants one from before, was just to make the point that some pickup lines are better left unsaid, unless you like getting smacked.

I just got a ridiculous idea.

You make a flower out of zipties, and then go up to a chick and say "Zip Tie?"

Well, then in that case they are the downfall of the FIRST program because you have to be able to talk and present all ideas to other people and be able to spread and enjoy the world of FIRST. They don't know what they are missing out on if this happens.
If they blow you off, then it's not FIRST material ().

understanding girls are cool girls
if you can find some, keep them,
i mean, even as friends,

the reason i say that is b/c i have more guy friends
b/c i know many (not all, don't stone me!) girls can be 'UN-understanding' in the sence that
they worry 'bout their appearance or rep much.
so can't just be silly
so i try to stay with the 'cool' girls who're just like
'hey whatever' and don't mind screaming random things
in public just to see reactions ::hehe::

so find them, and keep them
have fun, that's the goal in the end - ¿no?

Its very important to have friends. Where would any of be inlife without friends? It doesn't matter if they're male or female.

Having fun in life is true for everyone.

my friends did a tv package of themselves doing this at nats last year. Other than the question "which way to muscle beach?" followed by lots of masculine posin, the only pickup line I remember from it was:

Guy: are you from tennesse (sp?)
Girl: No, why?
Guy: 'cause you're the only ten i see!

all i can say is use pick-up lines warily! it's HILARIOUS to hear all of these, but (like the mirror one) would make me break my standing rule not to hit people. i also might break my standing rule not to curse. be tasteful if you use them, and don't really expect them to get you a date - a friend maybe, but if he's worth dating, he probably won't jump on it right away. wait a while, being friends first is most important, then you can (maybe) be friends afterwards.

Last year I went up to some girl and told her " Girls require Time and money (Girls= Time + Money) , Time is Money (Time= Money), therefore ( Girls =Money^2), Money is the root of all evil ( Money =square root evil), Money squared = evil where if you look above equals Girls which concludes GIRLS =EVIL" for some reason that kinda back fired
